UPSC - EPISODE 2 (TEACHER SAHI HONA CHAHIYE)

Here is the second episode's review presented by ICY REVIEWZ.

Having a good teacher is extremely important for UPSC aspirants.

So the episode starts with the ongoing conversation between SK and Guri. They are discussing Guri's marriage that whether Abhilash should be invited to the marriage or not. Guri seems against inviting Abhilash to his marriage but SK is in favor to invite him. Their argument becomes worse when Guri gets to know that SK is inviting Abhilash for his motive. SK wants to invite Abhilash as to give a motivational lecture to his students. So that his reputation among his students flares up.

Then the scene alternates to the past, where Abhilash has gotten upset after hearing his teacher's experience. He gets to know that his teacher failed in passing the UPSC exam. He felt demotivated and thought "How a failure teacher can teach UPSC aspirants? So he decides to leave the coaching institute and he uses his mother's disease, Alzheimer's, to withdraw his fees.

After that, you will see a discussion among Guri, Abhilash, SK, and Pragati. Pragati asks Abhilash " What should I tell you if you are not serious about your job"??Pragati's question makes Abhilash frustrated. He then replies seriously " My day starts with Hindu (Newspaper) and ends with Yojna and Kurushetra (magazines). I have started feeling that Lakshmikant is my special. GC Leong and Bipin Chandra are my Uncles. Spectrum and Economic Survey Taunt me like distant relatives. It is UPSC, It is not that easy. I eat the same food every day to save time. Even then the syllabus does not get over. I have isolated myself from movies and cricket. The fingerprint of my thumb has changed due to making notes. I dream of the third World War. Whether China has bombed India. And so many other tensions. Even though my 'Never- say die attitude up". And you are saying I am not hardworking. "

This dialogue is the heart of the whole episode which attracts everybody's attention. This whole dialogue reminds us of the struggle faced by  UPSC aspirants and their lifestyle in the preparation time.

We can compare a UPSC aspirant to google or can call them "MINI GOOGLE ".

Then they all gather at the seminar where an IAS officer comes to interact with aspirants. In the beginning, Abhilash didn't go there but after  Sandeep bhaiya's suggestion and inspiration, he went to the seminar.

So at the seminar, you can see a clear conversation between IAS officers and UPSC aspirants.

Question asked by one of the UPSC aspirants.

1. How can we keep ourselves motivated till the last attempt?

Ans. She replies Fear and Frustration are the fellow passengers of this journey. And they always are there. Keep the focus on your journey. Then there is no need to talk to your fellow passengers

.

2. Don't you feel pressure after so many attempts?

Ans. She relates this answer with her life, she says that when you are a girl who belongs to an orthodox family where you are married at the age of 22. You belong to a very backward area of India. Even you don't know English. And instead of that, you fail in every attempt. She said, "Every day I feel to give up" and could have done that. But at that moment, someone told me a story that changed my attitude towards it.180 degrees.

So, do you want to listen to it?

She explains a story. In 1981, there was a professor in the US who used to teach Ceramics. He experimented by dividing his class into two groups and gave them a task to complete in ten days.

To the first group, he gave a task of making just one perfect pot and to the other group, he asked to make as many pots as possible without worrying about the quality. Both groups started their work. After ten days he got surprised to see the result that group A was unable to make a perfect pot but group B made each pot not only better looking but almost perfect.

This story taught me that

.

PRACTICE MAKES A MAN PERFECT

We don't have to run away from our mistakes but have to learn from our mistakes.

So this story was narrated by "Prakash Sir" whom Abhilash was criticizing at the beginning of the episode.

Here we as an audience learned that "Learning from a Failure teacher is the biggest opportunity for us. He is the only one who has a lot of experience which you can't find anywhere."

An experienced teacher always protects us from doing mistakes.

Her speech ends with a poem,

"KAUN KEHTA HAI KI ASMAAN MEIN SURAKH HO NHI SAKTA

EK PATHAR ( STONE) TO TABIYAT SE UCHAALO TOH YAARO"

In the end, Abhilash understands it and now  wanted to study from Prakash Sir.
