Radhe is a 2021 Indian movie directed by Prabhu Deva. It is released coinciding with Eid al-Fitr on Zee Plex. For the past many years, it has become Salman khan's trademark to release his movies on Eid, which is referred to as eidi for his fans. It was released digitally because of the uncontrolled Coronavirus situation. This movie is supposed to be a remake of a Korean film (The Outlaws). The film shows the journey of a rowdy cop who decides to clean Mumbai city by eliminating a gangster. The storyline of the movie is quite boring and easy to anticipate as Bollywood is still stuck on the concept of 'good v|s bad'.
The story revolves around the uncontrolled usage of drugs in the city, Mumbai, and how it is destroying the youth. The protagonist, Radhe is a smart and tough cop who is kind-hearted who takes it upon himself to clean the city. This action drama is so predictable that after one point it becomes unbearably boring. Drama sequences of other movies like Baaghi and Force were much better than it. The romantic sequences too seem unrealistic and illogical, somewhat due to the huge age difference between Disha patani and Salman khan, they are almost 28 years apart, and yet Bollywood is getting very casual nowadays with casting stars in movies with the great age difference and for that fact it is very prevalent for aged male actors being cast opposite to young heroines, this leads us to the same storyline that Bollywood is sticking with for more than a decade... This also degrades the standard of the movies. We see so many movies from the south which are stepping up their game in terms of storyline and everything else but in 2021 also we are stuck with the same romance movies. Even some of the parts are copied from a Telugu movie (Paisa Vasool) and resembles the so-called "tapori" swag of Balakrishna.
The only character that catches the audience's attention is Randeep Hooda who played Rana in the movie. His character brings excitement and his acting skills are very much appreciated as well as a certain amount of intensity reflects through his character which adds up to the action scenes.
Here Disha Patani's role does not attract the audience. Her role in the movies is like nothing. This shows that today glamour and spunkiness fail to attract audience attention but instead, it should be good acting. Nowadays, the audience wants something more realistic and new which can't be seen in Bollywood movies. Moreover, Jackie Shroff's character reminds us of the shades of Arjun Rampal's character from the movie Housefull.
Music-
The music is a mixed bag. The song "Seeti Maar" is quite underwhelming because even though it is a copied version of the Telugu song 'seeti maar' from the movie DJ. Allu Arjun's dance moves in the original song are top notch and are well received by the fans but on the other hand, the so-called 2.0 version from this movie are not at all good, the dance steps are a bit childish and even lacked to provide the audience with a new hook step like Salman's other movies.
Is it worth watching?
If you are a die-hard Salman fan, you will definitely find this movie interesting. If you are a great fan of cringe and quirky stuff, this is your cup of tea.
There is no newness as some of the dialogues are copied like from his Mountain Dew ads ( "Darr ke aage........Zindagi") and his Wanted (2009) movie "Ek baar commitment kar di toh mein apne aap ki bhi nahi sunta" which makes it sound very repetitive.
The age gap between the two Co-stars is kind of toady as there are so many other actresses who are willing to work and would have looked age-appropriate if cast against him.
This movie is very non-creative as from dialogues to a poster (from the movie BRAKE) everything is copied.
With all that Radhe becomes Salman khan's second lowest-rated film.
Very nice... Keep it up... 😍😍loved your work
