THOUGHTS ON MOVIE

Okk, so The tomorrow war is a rip off of 90's movies like Independence Day and Armageddon and is an earnest effort to bring something new to the time-travel action genre. Chris pratt, as usual, very relatable and his character's motivations and troubles hit close to home. The family dynamics flowed well. The movie was action packed scifi but over analysing can rip any movie apart. But c'mon its nothing like the movie was unbearable or anything, Infact I was totally entertained and it was worth two hours. If you pause every other second and ask questions then please don't watch it because you just have to roll with it.

CRITICAL POINTS OF THE TOMORROW WAR

So, no doubt, but this movie had several plot holes like the people from the future were not even interrogated by the government and what's the point of sending normal civilians, middle aged uncles and aunties to fight killer aliens. But this movie is kinda time sensitive so it might get complex for viewers but The tomorrow war doesn't linger too long on its time travel logistics. It is explained via a simple example that is, the time flows ever forward like a river so they can hop in one direction only and till the time Muri and Dan engineer the toxin to eliminate aliens, they were too late to save the world in 2051.Also, the ending of the movie is quite predictable; in addition with the poor character development for the rest of movie cast other than Chris Pratt. But it becomes less captivating to watch it on a small mobile screen or laptop and in my sense this movie definitely deserved a theatre, as the experience would have been totally different.

SEQUEL

In July 2021,Deadline Hollywood reported Skydance and Amazon were in talks about producing a sequel and maybe the sequel would extend explanation of the time line better.
