Review
Vampire Knight is an anime presented by shojo series which always comes up with flowery, romantic (comedic) and cheerful anime. But Vampire Knight will prove that more than anything else.
Throw in a dash of vampire, and there you have Vampire Knight in all its glory.
The story revolves around the students of Cross Academy. Basically it consists of three main characters named yuki cross, Zero kiryu and kaname kuran.
The cheerful Yuki Cross and the gruff Zero Kiryuu are members of the disciplinary committee at Cross Academy, which houses two very distinct classes: the Day Class and the Night Class. Their job consists of upholding order between the classes when they switch out. While that may not seem like an especially difficult task, the Day Class is unaware of the truth behind the Night Class—their utterly gorgeous students are vampires.
Ten years ago, Yuki was saved from a vampire attack by Kaname Kuran, a Pureblood vampire. Now, Kaname is the leader of the Night Class, and Yuki's disciplinary committee position allows her to see him again, making her feelings for him grow complicated. Meanwhile, Zero bears a white-hot hatred of all Vampires and believes they can never live in harmony with humans. But a secret from Zero's past soon threatens the fragile peace of all at the academy, and things may never be the same again.
When the past of Zero's life was revealed. Then the whole series turns out into another mode. Zero's family was wiped out by a pure blooded Vampire and she only left Zero alive but bit Zero so only pure blooded Vampires can turn people into Vampires. If pure blooded vampire doesn't share their blood it is basically dooming them to a fate of turning into a level E which again is like a mindless Zombie they have no control over their thirst and they don't even think like people anymore since that day Zero has been fighting the urge to degenerate into a level E Vampire but he is still a Vampire and obviously Yuki has that good smell in blood.
Zero is always attracted towards yuki because of her pure and good smell of blood but he tries to not take blood from her as she is very loyal and a good friend of him but one day his thirst of blood can't stop him and he bit on Yuki's neck and sucked blood and on that day yuki came to know that Zero is also a Vampire.
As Yuki and Zero were together since childhood so she feels like she's responsible for him, she needs to be with him all the time.
She feels that she would always offer her blood to Zero whenever he needed it is because she doesn't want Zero to go to level E .
On the other hand Kaname is also a pure blooded Vampire which is very very rare to be seen. But as he saved Yuki ten years ago, he always shows humble behavior towards her. He also has a soft corner for Yuki .
But one thing common about Zero and kaname is that both are so protective towards Yuki. They both save her from a Vampire who tries to bite her to suck her blood. Which is so good to see .
Before going to end the first season there is a climax ……. Entry of new transfer student, her name is Maria but in actual she is also a pure blooded Vampire who killed Zero 's family in the first place and it is the reason he is turning into a degenerating Vampire but the gag is she is using the body of somebody else not her own body.
And you can also see the entry of Zero's twin brother Ichirou as it was said that his family was killed but now it is known that his twin brother is also still alive.
Actually she killed Zero's family because the person she loved was killed by his parents and she felt lonely from that day so it turned out to be revenge to kill his parents. That's why she didn't kill Ichirou as she started liking him.
But soon in the end shizuka (real name of Vampire girl) was killed by Kaname but people think that she was killed by Zero because it was a crime to kill pure blooded Vampires.
So here the first season ends . … . … . … .
